Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE)
MCFE certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence with Magnet Forensics products to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Certification is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended AX200 or BCERT (at NCFI)
Magnet Certified Graykey Examiner (MCGE)
MCGE certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence with Magnet Graykey to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Certification is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended AX301 or GK200
Magnet Certified Verakey Examiner (MCVK)
MCVK certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence using Verakey to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Our certification program is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended VK200
Magnet Certified Griffeye Examiner (MCGF)
MCGF certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence using Griffeye to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Our certification program is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended GE200, Griffeye Advanced licence required
Magnet Certified macOS Examiner (MCME)
MCME certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence in macOS investigations using Axiom to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Certification is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended AX350
Magnet Certified Cloud Examiner (MCCE)
MCCE certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence in Cloud investigations using Axiom to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Certification is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended AX320
Magnet Certified Video Examiner (MCVE) - DVR Examiner
MCVE certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence in video forensic investigations using DVR Examiner 3.0 to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Certification is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended the DV200 - DVR Examiner
Magnet Certified Video Examiner (MCVE) - Witness
MCVE certification is an accreditation that showcases an examiners’ expert-level competence in video forensic investigations using Magnet Witness to peers, internal stakeholders and external audiences, including legal teams or clients. Certification is free to users who have completed the prerequisite training courses.
Prerequisite: Must have attended the DV200 - Witness
Magnet Qualified Graykey Investigator (MQGI)
MQGI qualification test is an accreditation that showcases an investigators’ competence and proficiency in using Magnet Graykey to acquire and process mobile device evidence.
Prerequisite: Must have a Magnet Graykey
Graykey Operator (GKO)
GKO qualification test is designed to validate your knowledge of the Graykey devise, emphasizing the core skills required to preform extractions. The GrayKey Operator Qualification test is no longer available for purchase as of 12-31-23. Customers who have purchased a GKO voucher can access the test until 12-31-24.

Frequently asked questions
How do I apply? Click on the registration link below and complete the application. Once we have confirmed the prerequisite has been met, you will receive notice of registration and log in details. If you do not receive your access to the examination within 72 hours, please check your junk folder or email training@magnetforensics.com.
What is the exam format? You will need to login through your Arlo account. You will have a 120-minute time limit to complete 75 total questions (the MCVE examination will have a 120-minute time limit to complete 50 total questions). The MCFE Examination is comprised of two parts. A set of knowledge-based questions around the functions and use of Magnet Axiom and a practical-based set of questions using a prepared evidence set. The MCME, MCCE, and MCVE Examinations are comprised of a practical-based set of questions using a prepared evidence set.
What do I need to pass? A passing score is 80% or higher.
What if I fail the test? If you fail the test, you are invited to retake it as soon as you feel ready. If you fail a second time, you must wait 60 days before re-applying to take the test one more time.
Are there practice exams I can take? The material will be based on the prerequisite course, so any information from those courses may be included. There is no practice exam, but you do have the opportunity to retake it.
How much does it cost to take the exam? The exams, and all subsequent recertification is free.
How long are these certifications valid? Each certification is valid for two years. Upon expiration, you will receive a notice for renewal.
